JOIN US TO SUPPORT THE KINGS REGIMENT
MARCH AND RALLY ON SATURDAY 26 FEBRUARY
Dear Supporter
The fight to Save the Scottish Regiments continues as well
as new campaigns for the retention of other threatened Regiments. One such
threatened Regiment - The King's Regiment (The British Army's City Regiment of
Liverpool and Manchester) is holding a March and Rally on Saturday 26th
February.
The Proud Men of the Kings Regiment refuse
to accept that their Regiment's future is safe.
Veteran soldiers and campaign supporters as
well as many ordinary members of the public support the campaign to retain the
Kings Regiment as a single regiment and not part of a forced amalgamation
where the name of our proud and glorious regiment will no longer be, consigned
only to history.
Please join them for a parade and rally on the 26th February at 10:30am. Details below 10.30 hrs St Georges Hall Lime St. Many supporters from England joined the March and Rally in Edinburgh last December, it is important that we return the support from our fellow countrymen and join this important event. Save the Scottish Regiments Campaign are providing limited transport to Liverpool from various pick-up points in Scotland. We are supplying this free of charge to those who join us - the coach will leave very early on Saturday morning and return Saturday afternoon. We appreciate this is a considerable journey to make but hope that as many as possible make the effort and show the Government that we do care about all our Regiments and are prepared to stand together to fight the cuts and mergers. If you would like to join the 'Scottish Contingment' on the Liverpool Rally and travel with us to Liverpool (free of charge) then please contact us as soon as possible - places are limited and on a first come - first served basis.
