Oregon Pipers Society
The Oregon Piper's Society is a non-profit organization based in Portland. It holds monthly concerts and competitions from October through April, usually on the third Saturday of each month. Occasionally the date is changed to a week later due to St. Patrick's Day or Easter. We have one workshop a year in November with a teacher from Scotland or Canada. A monthly newsletter comes out about a week before the concerts, letting members know what is happening. The members are from all of Oregon and some in Washington, and include pipers, drummers, and anyone who wants to keep in touch with the Scottish music community. Membership costs $20 a year and gets you a discount at the concerts as well as the newsletter. For membership, send an email to me at ggibbard@peoplepc.com
