Coastal Celtic Society
Coastal Celtic Burns Dinner
The Coastal Celtic Society is 4-years-old and now an Oregon non-profit corporation. We are working on getting our charitable 501c3 status and have dedicated a scholarship fund for our charitable work. Our membership (38) includes people of many different Celtic backgrounds, Scottish, Irish, etc. We are currently involved in 3 major activities each year: Burns Night Celebration (this year February 3rd, 2007, at the Florence Elk's Lodge); Celtic Folk Festival, a benefit for Coos CASA and the South Coast Folk Society (this year March 24th, 2007 at the Hale's Performing Arts Center, Southwestern Oregon Community College, Coos Bay); and our Autumn Campout, held at the Elks camp ground north of Florence.
